Communication Boots Filled at California Rangeland Trust

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – August 13, 2012 –

California Rangeland Trust is pleased to announce the addition of Anna-Lisa Giannini to its team as the Communications Associate.

In this role Giannini will help facilitate the organization’s communication and outreach efforts using traditional media, social media and increased exposure to help California Rangeland Trust Protect What Matters.

“We are very excited to have Anna-Lisa join our staff at CRT,” said Scott Stone, Chairman of the California Rangeland Trust board of directors. “With her communication background and her family involvement in the cattle industry she will be a real asset to the CRT team.”

Previous to joining California Rangeland Trust, Giannini was the assistant advocacy and social media editor at Farm Journal Media. While there she wrote for Farm Journal and Top Producer magazines, helped manage the company’s largest web property AgWeb.com, directed the company’s social media strategy and participated in advocacy efforts. She was also involved with the Farm Journal Foundation and its initiatives.

Giannini received her bachelor’s degree from Oklahoma State University, studying animal science with an emphasis in cattle merchandising. Prior to attending Oklahoma State, she went to Modesto Junior College and earned an associate’s degree in animal science.

Raised on a ranch in Calaveras County, bought when her great-grandfather came to America in 1903, California Rangeland Trust’s mission is close to her heart. “

Walking the same land my great-grandfather walked is a privilege and a responsibility,” Giannini said. “I hope to use my deep roots and dirty boots to assist California Rangeland Trust in helping ranchers throughout California ensure they are able to leave the legacy they choose.”

In her spare time, Giannini enjoys spending time with her family, cooking, canning and helping on her family’s ranch. She also loves photography and a good cup of coffee.
