‘Tis the season for holiday cheer and, of course, shopping! As we revel in the festive spirit, we’re excited to highlight the significance of Small Business Saturday. This year, we encourage you to partake in the joy of gift-giving and embrace the charm of small and local businesses. Our ranching partners at California Rangeland Trust not only tend to their ranching operations, but some also run unique small enterprises.
On this Small Business Saturday, take a moment to explore their offerings. By choosing to shop small, you’re not just finding special and one-of-a-kind gifts; you’re also supporting our California ranching community members. Happy shopping!

The Harper Family, Orvis Cattle Co. – Calaveras & Stanislaus Counties
Orvis Cattle Company is now offering grass fed beef that is grazed on native range in the eastern central valley foothills, irrigated pasture, and summer alpine pastures of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Their cattle are never implanted with hormones or given antibiotics. Ranch raised beef was a tradition in California, and in keeping with that tradition, they offer you a taste of what they have been doing on the same location since the ranch was founded in 1873. California is a rare location that allows ranchers to have green grass year-round, allowing them to offer true pasture grass-fed beef year-round as well.
Interested in a smaller quantity of beef? Stop by their farm stand every Friday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
