As a Sacramento native, Ben has been serving his local community for nearly 15 years. After serving 2 terms as an Americorps member, Ben began working with at-risk youth populations in local school districts, later transitioning to school district financial departments and accounting. Growing up with a passion for the outdoors and California’s natural resources, Ben pursued and completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Geology at California State University, Sacramento, and has worked with the State Water Resource Control Board in the Irrigated Lands Reporting Program. In his current position, Ben is able to combine his accounting background, geology education, and his desire to help preserve California’s open spaces, clean water, and fresh air.
