Lexus "Lexy" Sistrunk

Annual Giving Manager

Sacramento, CA

Lexy joins California Rangeland Trust as the new Annual Giving Manager. She moved to California in 2017 and instantly felt a deep connection between this beautiful landscape and her home state of Idaho. Hailing from a rural community, Lexy spent a large part of her childhood on her grandparent’s small farm which piqued her interest in sustainable agriculture.

She initially developed her love of service through volunteering with a children’s arts and education nonprofit in Banos de Agua Santa, Ecuador called Fundacion Arte del Mundo. It had a profound impact on her desire to learn more about the important work that nonprofits are doing in our own nation’s communities. Upon her return, she joined forces with children’s education nonprofit, Reading Partners, in the SF Bay Area as an AmeriCorps VISTA. Through AmeriCorps, she developed a deeper interest in fundraising. During her time with Reading Partners, Lexy secured over $350,000 through grant writing, and supported two annual galas that generated over $400,000 in revenue. Lexy is elated for the opportunity to continue growing in another organization that is doing important work and is excited to share her love of the great outdoors and our beautiful rangelands with a diverse audience of supporters.

She believes that the work being done at California Rangeland Trust benefits all residents of California and is committed to help bridge the gap between environmental and ranching interests to promote the well-being of all Californians.
