Mark Lacey is a fourth-generation California rancher. He and his wife, Brenda, live in the small community of Lone Pine, located on the Eastern side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in the Owens Valley. Together with his father, John Lacey, Mark manages Lacey Livestock, a commercial cow-calf, stocker, and registered quarter horse operation in Inyo, Mono, and San Luis Obispo Counties. Mark is also a partner in Centennial Livestock, which leases the Tejon Ranch in Kern and Los Angeles counties. Having served as president of the California Cattlemen’s Association from 2018-2020, Mark is a staunch supporter and advocate of the cattle industry in California and beyond. He is also a founding board member of the California Cattlemen’s Foundation. The Lacey family is also one of the first participants of conservation easements executed by the Rangeland Trust.
